i am really drawn to the bottom right hand corner, it looks so obscure and obsolete, but in that and the other areas like it, i think i could loose myself.
the whole feel is from another realm.. very surreal. i'd love to have this as a poster.

what right do you have to laugh at anything else?

do your part. love your mother.
This is so awesome! Wonderful colouring. Pure beauty. I wish I had a super huge version of this hanging over my bed, so that I could stare at it at night. It would surely help if I have trouble sleeping.
The picture contains so many things one can connect memories to. And in all, the picture reminds me of a movie I saw a long time ago, about a boy who travels to another world through a book. He gets to see a lot of this wonderful world, and in the end it's up to him to save it. The memories I connect with smaller parts of the image is more interesting though. Like the little tree for example...
One summer, a friend and I went out to his grandparents country house to build our own little house in the trees. And I remember us sitting in our tree, looking down at the meadows and a railway trail (Rail? train rail? I don't know what it's called.). On a meadow were trees much like this one. We made sure the train passed the meadow when it should by having our own 'check book'. Lemonade and biscuits in the trees... Mmm...
I could easily stare at this for hours, methinks. So many elements that make it special to me. And to you, I'm sure.
It's beautiful. Thanks a lot for sharing.
